Judy Sell and Nancy Wobbema, both Frederick residents, recently purchased Lafayette’s Pinocchios, a popular Italian eatery, located at 211 N. Public Rd. Pinocchios has become such a popular restaurant for lunches, dinners and weekend breakfasts, you should plan ahead in case there is a short wait. Plan on a wait for Thursday’s all-you-can-eat spaghetti and watch for ongoing lunch specials. Appetizers such as artichoke dip with crostini, pepperoni rolls and warm balsalmic asparagus will get your taste buds jumpin’! You will enjoy a nice variety of fine wines and a full bar. Pinocchio’s breakfast menu is served Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Choose from a vast array of menu items such as fresh pastry baskets, benedicts, maple sausage, applewood bacon, cheesy omelets, warm burritos smothered in green chili and cheese, and fluffy, rich and sweet blueberry pancakes. And for those watching their waistlines, don’t worry - they have delicious low-carb options. Enjoy traditional Italian dinner items such as spaghetti, meatballs and spicy sausage, creamy fettuccine alfredo (and over a dozen pasta entreés), sweet tomato pizzas or hot ‘n spicy – they have it all….calzones, sandwiches and incredible salads. Treat yourself to something not-so-ordinary when you order the eggplant parmesan and the best breadsticks in town. They also have gluten-free pasta, pizzas, and sandwiches.
All desserts are homemade and include everything from a delectable lemon cake with glaze, carrot cake with lemon cream cheese frosting, or choose from chocolate walnut tortes with chocolate ganache( which is gluten free), spumoni and tiramisu.
